About me
Working in an ER, I witnessed how powerful thoughts and feelings can exacerbate already difficult situations. Now as a social worker in private practice, I'm dedicated to to helping people who feel pushed around by challenging emotions learn to take back control of their lives.
The model I practice is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an approach designed to enhance psychological flexibility and help you create a fuller, more purposeful life. Instead of trying to suppress or control distressing thoughts and feelings, ACT encourages a new relationship with them, one that allows you to be present and take meaningful steps in line with your core values. Whether you're coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, or persistent stress, ACT offers practical strategies to help you break free from avoidance and fear and move toward the life you want.
Therapy with me is focused on building lasting change by developing new skills, fostering greater self-awareness and enhancing compassion for yourself and others. Life can be incredibly challenging, but when you're met with understanding and support, those challenges can feel a little more manageable. Together, we’ll create a collaborative, trusting space where you can explore what matters most and take steps toward the future you envision.
