About me
Hello! I'm a licensed clinical social worker/supervisor with over 25 years of experience collaborating with adult clients as they address various life challenges.
I earned my master's degree in social work in 1998 and have worked in hospitals and law enforcement settings with people and communities experiencing or impacted by crime and trauma. I transitioned to private practice so I can assist individuals on their longer term therapeutic goals. I enjoy working with adults of all ages and backgrounds and am committed to my own personal and professional lifelong learning and growth.
My approach to therapy is compassionate, client-centered, and tailored to meet your unique needs. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors at your own pace. I use an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from various modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and others. This allows me to adapt my methods to suit your specific needs. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, grief, or other life transitions, I will work with you to build coping strategies, foster self-awareness, and empower you to create lasting change.
In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative approach where I provide guidance and support while respecting your autonomy. We will work together to identify your goals, uncover underlying issues, and develop strategies to help you live a more fulfilling and balanced life. My goal is to empower you to take control of your mental health and well-being.
I deeply value the trust and vulnerability that comes with therapy, and I’m committed to walking with you through your journey. Whether you're looking to improve your mental health, understand yourself more clearly, or work through life’s challenges, I am here to support you every step of the way.
I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation. You deserve to connect with a therapist who will meet your needs. A phone consultation can help you decide if we would be a good fit.
