Bio

Dana N Sayre is a Registered Drama Therapist through the North American Drama Therapy Association (NADTA). They also currently hold the title of Assistant Director of Psychodrama from Centerwood Institute. Dana has a MA in Performance Studies from Texas A&M University.

Dana is queer and non-binary (they/them/their) and able to provide LGBTQIA+, non-monogamy, and kink-affirming drama therapy services. Dana also has lived experience as a gifted and Highly Sensitive person.

Dana can work with children, teenagers, and adults. They have experience working with mood disorders (including depression and anxiety), trauma and complex trauma, addiction recovery, domestic violence, neurodivergence, and chronic illness/disability. Dana has expertise in compassion fatigue/burnout/secondary trauma.

Dana is a member of the Cultural Humility, Equity, and Diversity Committee of the NADTA.

Dana is a member of the TRACC4Movements Healing Network, and is currently certified in Movement Trauma Healer Training (Level 1).

Dana is also facilitating events and community outreach/education about queerness and disability with Chronically Queer – Austin.
